The two toys are the beloved playthings of Joe (4) and Jenny (6), who have just moved with heir parent to a big house in the country. But Dog and Duck are no ordinary toys. They come to life when Joe and Jenny's backs are turned and take on their personalities to explore the world around them.

Dog is a scruffy, loveable, lively little dog on wheels. Energetic and inquisitive he rushes around everywhere. He's impatient and loves exploring and learning about the world. He's got a cheeky sense of humour and loves to tease Duck, but he hates being told off and loves to be praised

Duck is a sensible girl who knows her own mind and is a bit of an older sister figure to Dog. She's proper and methodical and a bit cautious, but Dog makes her laugh. She's quite protective and very loyal to Dog. She doesn't hurtle around the house like Dog, but she shares his inquisitive nature and loves learning new things.
