Imagine one day being an ordinary aardvark, drumming the dusty earth for ants, and the next, being plucked from obscurity for a life in showbusiness.

Well that's exactly what happened to Sludger, an aardvark from the savannah whose talent for drumming was spotted by theatrical agent Feldwick C Hackenbush. On Christmas Day, Sludger (or Hamilton Mattress as he is now known) stars as himself in the dramatisation of his amazing story.

Hamilton Mattress is an hilarious comedy drama about riches, beauty and friendship, introducing us to the irrepressible Sludger.... The first aardvark in history to do anything interesting!
