"New music its all around us.....whether it's an orchestral piece by Peter Sculthorpe, a new opera by Philip Glass or an experimental work by Brian Eno.
If you've heard any of my evening programs over the last five years, then you'll know how passionate I am about contemporary music. From my early days as a composition student to my current work as both a composer and radio presenter, I'm dedicated to exploring the ever-widening world of exciting new sounds - and I hope you'll join me too!
From week to week you'll meet composers of all persuasions, be they die-hard orchestral composers or bedroom DJs. You'll get 'front-row radio seats' to our many diverse new music concerts from around the country and we'll 'peel back the labels', discovering the fascinating world of independent Australian producers. And from time to time there'll be studio guests for discussion of the burning issues in new music.
The program is co-produced by myself and ABC Classic FM's Australian music curator Stephen Adams, who is himself an established composer."
