Presenting on ABC Classic FM lets Paul combine two of the things he loves passionately, music and presenting radio programs. Paul has worked in ABC Radio for 20 years, and fell in love with the classics as a 10 year old, when his grandmother gave him an LP of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony.

Paul's parents were both singers, and Paul's been singing in public since he sang with them in church as a boy. He did the obligatory grades on piano through school, but it's through singing that he developed as a performer, and for 20 yrs he's sung the tenor solos in the great oratorios and masses of Handel, Bach and Mozart and he's sung the part of the Evangelist in the Bach passions many times. Rehearsing and performing at night doesn't mix easily with his breakfast hours, but he still sings regularly with 3 friends in a mixed a cappella quartet called 'Waxing Lyrical', anything from Renaissance through to jazz.

Paul has a degree with honours from the University of Newcastle, majoring in Psychology, and lives in Lake Macquarie with his wife and 2 children.

Paul presents Afternoons Monday to Friday, 1.05 - 5.00pm.
