Banaba:
All but a few hundred Banabans are living on the Fijian Island of Rabi, 1800 km from their homeland in the Pacific. They left after phosphate mining destroyed their homeland. The people of Banaba are angry they've been denied any substantial compensation by Australian, NZ & British phosphate miners. Today their island is a skeleton of coral pinnacles, all but uninhabitable.
