Spiderbait's Music for Kelman to the
Rescue
The music all through Kelman To The Rescue is by Melbourne
band spiderbait. The loops during the games and the music for the
final animation sequence (only seen if you win the game) were recorded
for Kelman in the band's studio.
It worked kind of like this:
One day Kram got an email. Hi address was on the band's website as
the contact for spiderbait.
It was Nathan J, basically saying "I'm making a game, and I need
some music. Are you up for it?"
Kram said yes, and thus a beautiful partnership was born.

According to Whit the loops that run through the three different
levels were based on material that the band had written earlier.
"There were some loops that we already had and then it's
live bass and some other stuff on top."
"We find instrumental stuff is pretty quick to write, but
it doesn't all get on the album, so it's good to be able to
use it one day."
Nathan J says he went along to spiderbait's rehearsal space/
studio one afternoon. The band jammed for a while, then came
up with the bug celebration song, recorded it tweaked it a little
bit, then handed over a CD that afternoon.
