Sacking Carney not the answer: Raiders

Canberra Raiders chairman John McIntyre says the board will consider a range of options to curb the off field behaviour of star half-back Todd Carney at a meeting on Saturday.
Carney remains suspended despite complaints alleging he urinated on a patron at ACT bar on Sunday night being dropped.
Mr McIntyre, says sacking Carney is an option but not a desirable one.
"Sacking is one of them but I don't know that's the answer. Where do we go from then, you know what happens?" he said.
"Somebody decides to say 'well a change from Canberra is all a guy needs' and convinces the NRL to register him again next year and he comes back to haunt us.
"We don't invest resources into development of players to see that happen."
Raiders coach Neil Henry says he hopes the Canberra fans continue to support the side despite the off-field drama.
"We're just hoping for a good crowd out here tomorrow, and indications are we should get a crowd," he said.
"The members and the fans of the club can make up their own minds on whether or not they want to support a club but I suggest that you support a team and a club, you don't support one player."
Henry has been forced to make some late changes to his side to play the Titans on Saturday with Glen Turner ruled out and young winger Justin Carney joining a rejigged line-up.
