Posted August 18, 2008 13:22:00

New South Wales Government inspectors will target about 200 western Sydney car dealers along Parramatta Road from Strathfield to Parramatta in a crackdown this week.

The inspectors from the Office of Fair Trading will check dealerships are complying with the Motor Dealers Act.

Fair Trading Minister Linda Burney says 24 inspectors will be involved in the crackdown.

She says penalties ranging from $300 to $100,000 fines can be imposed for serious breaches.
