Post-mortem to be done on Mackay bones

A post-mortem examination will be carried out this morning on human remains found in Mackay's Botanical Gardens in north Queensland.

A tourist discovered the bones near the information centre on Nebo Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Police are reviewing missing person cases from the past few years to try to identify the body.
