'Sporty Spice' Mel C expecting first child

Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm says she is expecting her first baby - the last member of the top-selling band to become a mother.
The 34-year-old, nicknamed Sporty Spice, and her partner Thomas Starr announced the news in a statement on her website after days of speculation.
"Well, I can now announce that Tom and I are expecting a baby and we are very happy," she said.
"I'll be taking it easy. I'll need some time off to be a mum, but before you know it, we'll be back."
The other band members - Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton - have seven children between them.
The Spice Girls were one of the biggest acts of the 1990s, with hits like Wannabe, Mama and Spice Up Your Life.
