Kylie Minogue has confirmed she will bring her highly-acclaimed KylieX2008 tour to Australia in December.

The 40-year-old pop princess will play in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as Auckland, New Zealand.

Minogue recently wrapped up her 53-date European tour, which saw the $20 million show travel to 21 countries.

"It's been such a joy to take this show to so many countries that I've never been to before, but it's a real thrill to finally be bringing it home to Australia and to be able to share it with you all," she said in a statement.

She will perform in Sydney on December 14 and Melbourne on December 19.

Tickets go on sale on September 8.
