$5m boost for Narrandera power

Posted August 28, 2008 13:42:00

The New South Wales Government says the Narrandera region's power supply is more secure after a $5 million upgrade.

The Minister for Energy, Ian Macdonald, says two 45-year-old transformers have been replaced over the past two months, boosting supplies by 60 per cent.

Narrandera Shire Council has welcomed the works, saying there is ample supply capacity now and into the future to cope with expected growth.
