Injured man sues police over arrest

A man is suing New South Wales police for damages, claiming he was seriously injured in an arrest by police in Wagga Wagga five years ago.

Alan Frederick Hathaway suffered a broken jaw and other injuries which sparked a Police Integrity Commission inquiry into Wagga police.

The civil claim is underway in the District Court in Sydney.
