Wong to hear river concerns

The state of inland rivers and the iconic Snowy River will be raised at meetings in southern New South Wales with the federal Minister for Water.

Senator Penny Wong will be in Cooma today and Wagga Wagga tonight.

The first meeting is with a Snowy River working group set up by Eden Monaro MP Mike Kelly.

About 200 people are booked to attend tonight's Labor Party function in Wagga where Senator Wong is the special guest.
