Green light for Army barracks development

Federal Parliament has approved a $36 million development at the Army barracks in east Bandiana, near Wodonga.

Funding for the new warehouse project at the Wadsworth Barracks was reviewed by the Parliament's public works committee.

It was approved yesterday.

The new warehouse will store logistics equipment such as combat clothing, repair parts and armoured and normal vehicles.

The project is expected to start early next year and will be finished in 2010.
