RACT scratching its head over diesel prices

Posted October 4, 2008 11:23:00

Tasmania's main automobile group is urging motorists to shop around for cheaper diesel prices.

RACT figures reveal that many motorists are paying too much for diesel compared to those interstate.

Spokesman Vince Taskunas says daily price monitoring information would make it easier for Tasmanians to find lower prices.

"We're unsure of why it is so high in some places especially as some outlets are charging around 170 cents a litre or less and other outlets are charging 180 cents," Mr Taskunas said.
