Posted October 7, 2008 20:00:00

Police are investigating the attempted abduction of a teenage girl in Rockhampton.

The 13-year-old was walking along Western Street on Sunday evening when she was assaulted by the occupants of a white Holden Commodore.

Central Region Crime Coordinator Jon Wacker says four men were in the car.

"The main attacker is approximately 185 cm in height, brown hair," he said.

"He was wearing blue coloured knee-length shorts and a red, white, and blue horizontally striped shirt. He was approximately 30 years of age."
