Suspended Canberra Raiders back Bronx Goodwin will plead guilty to two counts of assault.

Police allege the 24-year-old assaulted two patrons outside a bar in Canberra's inner north in July.

Goodwin appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court today and his lawyer indicated Goodwin will plead guilty to the two charges.

Goodwin's lawyer told the court some of the facts in the matter were in dispute but he hoped they could be resolved in talks with the prosecutor.

The Raiders Club has previously said it would not make a decision on Goodwin's future until he faced court.

Raiders chief executive Don Furner was in court for today's hearing.

Goodwin will return to court next week.
