A former first class cricketer will plead not guilty to 40 charges including acts of indecency alleged to have occurred in Canberra more than a decade ago.
Former Queensland state cricketer Ian Harold King is facing dozens of charges dating from 1989 to 2003 relating to 12 different victims.
Some of the incidents are alleged to have occurred while King was a junior cricket coach in the ACT.
The 65-year-old had been expected to apply for bail in the ACT Magistrates Court yesterday but that was withdrawn.
He has been remanded in custody until next month.
