Family badly injured in car smash

A family of five has been badly injured in a crash at St Arnaud, north-west of Melbourne.

Emergency services say their car crashed into a tree on the Charleton St Arnaud Road, at about 9:00pm (local time) yesterday.

A man was flown to hospital in a critical condition.

His wife and two of their children are in a stable condition, while a 14-month-old girl sustained serious head injuries.
