Qantas bus accident injures 7

Posted October 14, 2008 11:35:00

Seven people were injured when a Qantas bus swerved to avoid an accident with another vehicle at Sydney Airport this morning.

A Qantas spokesman said the accident happened about 8:30am when the bus was transferring passengers between the international and domestic terminals.

The driver of the bus swerved and then braked heavily to avoid colliding with another vehicle.

The evasive manoeuvres caused a number of people to be thrown from their seats, which were not equipped with seatbelts.

At least seven of the passengers were injured, none seriously, but the driver was not hurt.
