Klinger dents Bushrangers' victory hopes

Posted October 16, 2008 19:11:00

Former Bushrangers player Michael Klinger has almost singlehandedly helped dent Victoria's chance of a win in the Sheffield Shield cricket match against South Australia at Adelaide Oval.

Victoria was 1 for 51 in its second innings at stumps on the day three of the clash, after South Australia had earlier made 7 for 357 (dec).

Klinger scored an unbeaten 150 as South Australia got to within striking distance of Victoria's first innings total of 6 for 473 before declaring to try and produce a result on Friday.

However, a draw now looks more likely, with Victoria having to settle for first innings points.
