Prior to 2007 ABC NewsRadio was only available in the capital cities and some larger regional areas such as Newcastle and the Gold Coast. The ABC is currently in the process of rolling ABC NewsRadio out to other centres in regional Australia . Please check the following table for the rollout schedule and frequencies. The ABC is currently working with the Australian Communications and Media Authority to identify available frequencies in regions such as the Illawarra, Bendigo and Ballarat where spectrum is heavily congested.
