Biofuel report
A major report on biofuels to be released today recommends that Australia establishes a National Biofuel Institute. The report by the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering says the institute would allow Australia's bio industry researchers to come together much more effectively than under what the academy says is the fragmenting, competitive, grant-driven process that characterises much of Australia's research and development. ATSE is currently holding its 2008 symposium 'Alternative Transport Fuels for Australia' in Melbourne.
