Christmas for the Australian Navy
For those within the Australian Navy, the news that they get to stay home for two months over Christmas must have been the best present they ever got. But as a way of easing pressure on existing personnel, it's unprecedented. For years now the defence forces have been grappling with the issue of recruiting and retaining personnel, and that's by no means restricted to this country. So what are the recruitment obstacles?
