WIin tickets to the Sydney Festival![]() We are delighted to be able to offer listeners the chance to win one of ten double passes to the opening night of The Tell-Tale Heart at the Sydney Festival.* Directed by Barrie Kosky, this highly original work is based on the classic short story by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. Poe is acknowledged as the founder of the detective-crime genre but is probably best known for his gruesome stories of horror and murder. For your chance to win a double pass to the 18 January opening night of what promises to be a sell-out season at the Sydney Festival*, we’d like you to write the opening sentence, in 25 words or less, to an undiscovered Edgar Allen Poe story. The most inventive (and perhaps frightening) entries will win! How to enter Simply fill in the form below. Please note that this is a Sydney event and the prize consists of tickets only, not travel or accommodation. The competition opens at 9am (AEDT) on 7 January and closes at midday (AEDT) on 12 January, 2009. Your entry must include your name, address, email and a daytime telephone contact number or it will be deemed invalid. Any entry over 25 words will be deemed invalid. Terms and Conditions (Word Document) The Competition opens at 9am (AEDT) on 7 January 2009 and closes at midday on 12 January 2009. * The ABC is not responsible for the content of external websites. | |
