Online genome tests
The first online genome testing companies appeared only last year, but they're already sparking lots of debate in medical, scientific and ethics circles.
Celebrity 'spit parties' were used to promote the new genome testing services, which charge more than $300,000 for a full genome report.
Dr Barbara Prainsack, from the Biomedicine and Society Centre at King's College, London, is the leader of an international team investigating the pros and cons of being able to access genome testing simply by send off some saliva and turning on your PC.
