Protecting kids in hospital
Going to hospital is a traumatic experience for any child, but imagine how much more upsetting it would be if they were denied specialised care.
Children's wards are disappearing in Australia – a national survey suggests almost a third have been shut since 1992.
Concerned members of the medical fraternity want to introduce national standards to ensure our children are treated appropriately and don't end up in adult wards.
