Rudely Interrupted

Melbourne-based band Rudely Interrupted has been invited to play for the United Nations next month, on the International Day for People with Disabilities.

It's the most recent achievement for the band, which includes five members with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Time Out magazine says 'they stand apart from their peers—not because of the intellectual disabilities from which they all suffer, but because their music is some of the most energetic and genuine to emerge from the Australian rock'n'roll underground in recent times.'
