Arlo Guthrie in Concert in Australia  View Playlist

In this week's program a musical journey together with wonderful stories from the legendary Arlo Guthrie, recorded during his 2008 Australian tour. He's been performing his songs of protest against social injustice for more than forty years and his iconic song 'Alice's Restaurant' from 1967 is still included in his concerts. Music Deli recorded his Melbourne performance in May 2008 and half of that concert is played in this program.

Music Deli for Radio National Summer presents a concert from the 2008 Sydney Festival featuring Kev Carmody and his musical friends. A gathering of some of Australia's finest contemporary performers singing their favourite Kev Carmody songs - Tex Perkins, Sara Storer, Missy Higgins, The Herd, Glenn Richards, Dan Sultan, Steve Kilbey and Paul Kelly, with Kev Carmody singing and telling a few stories along the way.

The Mafumani Secondary School Choir from South Africa in Australia plus Genticorum at the Port Fairy Folk Festival  View Playlist

In this week's Music Deli two performances recorded by us this year. From the Port Fairy Folk Festival held in March a performance from the Quebecois trio Genticorum, and then from an Iwaki Auditorium concert in August the Mafumani Secondary School Choir from South Africa.
