Journey into the Future Competition!
This competition has now closed and winners will be announced in the coming weeks. You can watch and rate the competition entries here.
And you can see all the winning entries here.
The theme is “Journey into the Future”
And your challenge is to make films in response to any of these 3 challenges:
Challenge One
“500 years in the future, an ancient video tape is uncovered at an archeological dig. The footage on the tape stuns and amazes the scientists and historians who discover it. It is shown all across the world. What was on the tape? Well it’s up to you! Create a 60 sec video and make it as funny, silly, cool or absurd as you want. It could be an exploration of your dogs’ nose, a crazy rollercoaster ride or anything else that you think would amaze the planet 500 years from now!”
Challenge Two
“Future aliens travel back in time to take over the Planet Earth, but humanity also sends one great warrior to defend the planet. Unfortunately the restrictions of time travel mean that these powerful enemies can only inhabit household objects. This epic battle is shown in the greatest Sci-Fi action ever captured on film, making Star Wars look like your auntie's boring holiday movies. And you are the director. Forget about Hollywood budgets! Make an animated action movie starring a potato, a sock and the contents of a household drawer!”
Challenge Three
“The ABC has received a TV show from the future. 1000 YEARS IN THE FUTURE! We even had to invent a player to watch it as it's on a “mp-cube ray” which is a future video format that won’t be invented until mid 3002! But what does the episode look like? That’s completely up to you! This is a great chance to make your own TV show using any crazy ideas and objects from around the house. Create stick figure animations, cardboard robots puppets, use your pets as stars or even host it yourself! Show us exactly what would you do if you were running a TV show. It could be like Rollercoaster, or it could be something completely different. It’s totally up to you!”
There will be awesome video camera prizes for Best Animation, Most Creative Story, Wildest Imagination and Audience Choice as well as runner up prizes for each of these categories.
