Warning for Sheep Graziers
Issued at 9:07pm on Friday the 21st of November 2008

Renewal

Warning to Sheep Graziers for northeastern and eastern grazing districts.
Colder than average temperatures, combined to locally heavy rainfalls and fresh
to strong southeasterly winds are expected tomorrow, and may result in losses of
susceptible sheep.

Next routine issue by 5am.

This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts; the Bureau's
website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 216.

The Tasmanian Bureau of Meteorology and State Emergency Service would appreciate
this warning being broadcast regularly.

FLOOD WATCH ADVICE
Issued at 9:08pm on Friday the 21st of November 2008

Renewal of Flood Watch advice for the Northeast and East Coast river basins

Statement:
Moderate rainfall in the east, locally heavy in the northeast, expected during
Saturday is likely to cause strong river rises, particularly those rivers
already swollen following Thursday's recent rainfall.

Some local flash flooding is possible early Saturday morning.

Weather Outlook:
Scattered showers increasing to rain overnight.

Coastal Waters Wind Warning
for all Tasmanian coastal waters.
Issued at 9:10 pm EDT on Friday 21 November 2008

Synoptic Situation
A cold front is crossing Tasmania, with an associated low passing south of the
state. A trough and low will develop to the east of the state tomorrow.

Gale Warning
For the Northwest, Central North, Northeast and the Upper East Coast Sandy Cape
to Wineglass Bay
South to southwest winds to 15 to 25 knots extending throughout this evening,
increasing to 20 to 30 knots in the northwest overnight. South to southeast
winds 20 to 30 knots extending throughout during tomorrow, increasing to 30 to
40 knots in the northeast during the afternoon and reaching 35 knots offshore
elsewhere. Seas 2 to 3 metres, rising to 4 metres offshore in the east. Westerly
swell to 1.5 metres in the north, tending confused in the east.

Strong Wind Warning
For all remaining coastal waters, Wineglass Bay to Sandy Cape
Southerly winds 20 to 30 knots developing in the west overnight, extending to
the remainder during tomorrow and tending southeasterly in the east. Seas to 2
to 3 metres. South to southwest swell near 2 metres.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am EST

Please be aware
Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here,
and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.
