Under The Hammer - William IV Silver Tea Caddies
The item up for auction is a pair of William IV silver tea caddies, made in Dublin by Richard Sawyer in 1834. They are based on an original Chinoiserie design by the great London silversmith Paul de Lamerie, and are intricately beautiful in the Rococo style. > more
Roving Eye - Inveresk Blacksmiths
Gordon steps into the historical heart of Tasmanian heavy engineering, the original Inveresk railway workshop which is now part of the Museum campus. From 1868 in this huge building over 100 men at any one time toiled at spitting furnaces and hammered at massive anvils. > more

Adrian looks at the exquisite “Strings across Time”, a comprehensive collection of Aboriginal shell necklaces. These have been made by Tasmanian Aboriginal women for thousands of years, the gathering, preparing and stringing being done only by women. > more

Coral Howe boasts a collection of 800-plus antique glass oil lamps in all shapes, sizes and colours, collected over 45 years. They fill her house, and spill over into her shed. > more
Snow Mobiles
Josh Marshall has been involved with snow virtually since the day he was born. He has done lot of skiing and snowboarding in his 20 year-life, particularly on Ben Lomond, one of Tasmania’s tallest peaks. > more

can any one tell me if theese labels are worth anything it is a complete set from 1980 and have never been on bottles and all are as new , thanks
Collector’s model ¼ scale helmets made by Sideshow/Weta Collectibles. These helmets are based on the three Lord of the Rings movies. Large Helm is a troll helm. Back three on right are helmets shown in the prologue of the first movie. The front row includes helmets worn by characters such as Easterlings, King of the Dead, Sam, Frodo and The Witch King. 13 model helms of 26 in my collection.
