And now it’s time for Gordon to take us on a very singular journey. You won’t see too many collections like this one: an animal trophy collection from between 1880 and 1920.

This was the Victorian era when hunting animals was considered a gentleman’s sport and the ethics of animal rights had not surfaced yet.

Some species in the collection are now extinct.

There are about 100 animal trophies and this collection is supposed to be the largest of its type in the southern hemisphere.
