This week's passionate collector is Frances Schroeter. Frances has been collecting Lego for over 20 years and now has a house full of it.
She has sets that date from the late 1950s, just after Lego first went on sale, and from every decade since. Something tells us this is one collection that’s just going to keep on building!
Frances says that building with Lego is a good way to relax after work instead of watching TV. She likes the imaginative aspect of Lego.
Lego is from the Danish words "LEg GOdt" meaning "play well". During the 60s the design was basic but this of course improved over the decades. In 1990 the word Lego was included in The Concise Oxford Dictionary.
Frances' husband tolerates Lego as a hobby and her daughter enjoys it too - its just part of family life!
