Under the Hammer this week is a Bronze Buddha.

It is exquisite and rare. The Buddha sits in a solid gold shrine which can be worn.

Inside is a 1000 year old guilded bronze Buddha from the Sung Dynasty with a tiny ruby embedded in the piece.

The Sung Dynasty was a period in Chinese history from 960 - 1279.
