Under the hammer this week is a Chinese Warring States period sword.
It is not rare but very old and in good condition. It is from the Warring States period between 475BC and 221BC and is not a ceremonial sword but a fighting sword. It is made of solid bronze and is heavy but delicate. There are some cracks in the handle but it should do well at auction.
Adrian guesses: $1000
Lauren guesses: $650
Gordon guesses: $2000
Lauren is the closest! It sold for $800.
