Under the hammer this week is a gorgeous glass flask, made by Bristol glass company, Nailsea, early in the 19th century.
Justin says these were referred to as Friggers, and were typically made by apprentices at the end of a long working day to show off their improving skills.
Even though the flask is missing its stopper, Justin says that won’t hamper the bidding.
Bidding starts at $50
Niccole bids: $115
Gordon bids: $175
Adrian bids: $215
The Frigger sells for $140.
Gordon was desperate for one final offer from a fresh bidder at the end of the auction to give him victory but it wasn’t forthcoming, making Niccole this week’s winner.
