Under the hammer this week is a set of 10 Arne Jacobsen boardroom high-backed chairs, originally commissioned in the 1980s by St Catherine's College, Oxford. They were manufactured in Denmark by Fritz Hansen.

This design is described as an extended relative of Arne Jacobsen’s more famous Ant Chair which was produced in 1952. Justin explains these are recent versions of the original design and are made from moulded ply covered with black wool and feature a polished aluminium base.

Bidding starts at $2400

The set of boardroom chairs sells for $7500

At $750 per chair, this week’s winner, Adrian, still thinks that’s a great deal.
