This week’s mystery object has everyone bamboozled. Some of the guesses from our experts on the street include a shoe cleaner, paperweight, clamp, trap and hair clip. We’re they close? To start with it even stumped the panel.

This solidly-built object consists of two fitted pieces of metal held together in the centre by two screws. Gordon’s first guess is that it has something to do with a gun-like weapon but he also suggests it might be a tool used for sharpening sheep shears. Adrian agrees with Gordon while Niccole thinks it’s for sharpening or filing something.
