This week’s mystery object certainly looks familiar, but can anyone work out what it was used for? The public’s guesses included a key to wind up a music box, a bird caller, cheese grater and fluff remover.

Initially Adrian also suggests the object is some sort of key for a toy, but then questions could it have been used to curl moustaches. Because of the fine hole covering the object’s body Niccole thinks it might have been used for grating spices, while Gordon hazards a guess it was used for coring something although he has no idea what.
