Episode 37, Friday 24 October 2008
Niccole presented a delightful little collection of buttons, sent in by Heather, of NSW.
There were 4 Edwardian gentlemen’s waistcoat buttons, featuring lithographed portraits of women on celluloid (worth $15 - $20 each), and a selection of Japanese ceramic buttons from about 1930 (worth $30 - $40 each) and some Japanese enamelled buttons from 1890 to 1900 ($40 - $60 each.)
Niccole made the point that the button market is strong and defined, allowing her to make the estimates.
