Episode 38, Friday 31 October 2008
Trevor Bouker rarely strays from the straight and narrow as he has amassed 1520 rulers in the 36 years he has been collecting.
The collection started in 1972 when he was on a family holiday. His mother asked him what he would like as a souvenir, his answer was a ruler. His sister got a spoon. On a long trip around Australia, Trevor acquired the next 500, but that was over 3 years. Most of the rulers have been collected by Trevor, but his friends and family have chipped in as well. His young daughters love counting the rulers when they visit from Victoria, and enjoy shopping with him for yet more.
End to end, we wonder how long the rulers would measure?
