Equally satisfying is Christine Kuhne’s collection of over 10,000 designer shopping bags, the ones with Hermes and Dolce and Gabana and Chanel and David Jones written on them in smart graphics.
She loves them because of what they represent , she shops! And she shops well, and so she is happy. The power they have to advertise her taste and independence is turned on the second she emerges from a smart shop. “Louis Vuitton is the place for me!”
The collection is stored in big plastic bags with a bar of soap to keep the moths away. The bags are made from plastic, paper, cardboard and fabric and have been collected from all over the world.
Not surprisingly she says Italian bags are the world’s best in design and ideas, but not far behind are, not the French, but the Bulgarians! Who would have thought?
