Why do your forums suck?

Couple of reasons.. the forum software has to work for all ABC programs and so whilst we'd like a few more options, the folks over at Gardening Australia are happy. The tech guys have worked hard to tweak the software to get it working as it does. The other, and main reason, is security. Most PHP forums are not secure enough for a large site such as ABC online. Having said that - we are painfully aware of the forums limitations and are seeking a better solution.

Why don't I see my post instantly?

Forum users who haven't registered have their posts pre-moderated before they are published. Registered users may post instantly.

Where can I get GG shirts?

You can win one by posting your own game review on the forums.. it must be your own work! Or you can buy one from the ABC Shop online.

I'd like to create some material for Good Game...is that possible?

Yes it is but we'd prefer you contact us before hand with your ideas so we discuss it with you.. the last thing we want is for all that hard work not to end up in the show. Send us a relatively detailed outline of your ideas via the contact us email form and someone from the show will be in touch and let you know what they think. Unfortunately it is NOT possible for Good Game to pay for any contributions.

Our forums are probably the best option, or email us via the contact us link on our webpage. We take all suggestions & feedback seriously and in fact base the show around it. News is always welcome, as is info about upcoming LAN events or gaming expos.

Why isn’t there a higher quality download available?

Simply, not enough bandwidth for the ABC to support higher quality downloads of its programs. This is being worked on, as is the possibility of a bittorrent like facility.

Does Good Game have an IRC chan?

An unnoficial IRC chan has sprung up at #goodgame.abc2 on the Gamesurge network.

Junglist clearly has massive, well toned biceps that ooze virility. This isn't so much a frequently asked question, just a frequent observation....

....And well spotted. Indeed, they seem as if shaped by a lustful female Greek sculpter. The biceps themselves are registered as illegal weapons with local police and as soon as Good Game gets a wide-angle lens, we'll be able to allow him to flex on set.

How do you rate games?

How we score:
10 - Perfection ...Or for some other reason deserving full marks, such as going against the grain to create something completely new. A triumph in game design.
Example: Guitar Hero 2, Half-Life 2, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

9 - Awesomesauce. A memorable experience, one of the standout games of its time.
Example: Bioshock, God of War 2, Gears of War, Elite Beat Agents.

8 - Great. Lots of fun. Not exactly ground breaking, or perhaps shipped with a few unforgiveable imperfections, but good enough to be considered a classic.
Example: Lego Star Wars 2, Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, Virtua Tennis 3.

7 - Good. A decent, forgettable way to spend 10 or so hours.
Example: Resistance: Fall of Man, Saint's Row.

6 - Average. Provides mild entertainment, but you can find better without much effort.
Example: Spiderman 3, Demon Chaos, Dead Rising.

5 - Bland. Nothing quite broke about the game, but no reason to play it either.
Example: Need for Speed: Carbon, Cooking Mama, TMNT.

4 - Bad. A waste of money and time.
Example: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, GH Rocks the 80's

3 - Broken, The game was too buggy to enjoy at all.

2 - Terribad/Ubersuck. The "game" may have had some decent box art or came with a free hat.

1 - Insulting. You become less interested in all games and possibly life in general because you had the misfortune to know of its existence.
