Murder Prevention
Continuing on from last week's gripping episode of Murder Prevention, the MPU discovers Cullen's (Tom Bennett) lair deep within an underground network of tunnels. There they find the corpse of a mutilated dog. It leaves no doubt as to Cullen's murderous intentions and increases the pressure to find and protect the intended victim.
Maurice (Michael Smiley) probes Cullen's mother Carole (Tilly Vosburgh), while the team installs surveillance equipment in the family home. They endeavour to create stressful situations for Cullen by manipulating his environment, waiting for him to crack.
Before long, Cullen arranges to meet up with a boy from his football team and begins to lead him towards the lair. The MPU have the area surrounded and keep Cullen monitored as they can only arrest after Cullen has made his dangerous intentions clear. The arrest is not without consequence for rookie profiler Mark Rosen (Tom Brooke).
However, there is no time to celebrate the arrest, because unable to deal with Gibson (Bo Poraj) who has continued to harass her, Sally Brook (Christine Bottomley) has taken her own life. Neil (Sean Gallagher) is enraged and Ray (Mark Lewis Jones) seeks revenge. Will his actions come back to haunt him?
