The Bill -
Saturday, 11 October 2008 - Ep 593 - Frontline: Shockwave
PCs Emma Keane (Melanie Gutteridge) and Sally Armstrong (Ali Bastian) are in the vicinity when there are two large explosions near a local estate. They come upon a scene of carnage and share a moment of complete shock.
Sgt Stone (Sam Callis) coordinates the efforts of officers from Sun Hill and Barton Street as they deal with the dead and injured, terrified people desperate for information, and the threat posed by opportunist criminals.
When police receive a warning about a third explosive device, PC Keane puts her life on the line...
Saturday October 11, 9:15pm - Ep 594 - Frontline: Aftershock
With the Sun Hill team left reeling from the death of their colleague PC Emma Keane (Melanie Gutteridge), DI Karen Lacy (Liz May Brice) from the Counter Terrorism Unit takes charge of the investigation into the bombings. All hands are on deck to join in the investigation, especially PC Sally Armstrong and Sgt Callum Stone, who were the last to talk to Emma.
At first, the evidence suggests an attack against a racist organisation, but email evidence leads them to Carl Adams (Mark Bagnall), who has all the ingredients for bomb-making in his flat. Adams denies involvement, and the team begin to suspect he's not smart enough to be the perpetrator. As DCs Mickey Webb (Chris Simmons) and Kezia Walker (Cat Simmons) search his home for more clues, they walk into a trap.
Meanwhile, tensions between Sgts Stone and Dale Smith (Alex Walkinshaw) reach boiling point when Smithy tells a very emotional Stone to go home.
