They were called the Fitzroy Stars - besides being a great team (winning five premierships in 15 years), they were a hub in the Melbourne Koori community. Some came to play in order to develop their cultural identity, like the boys from government homes and adopted families.

In 2004, following accusations by the tourism industry that traditional owners and staff were closing them out of the Park, its Board of Management agreed to develop a shared vision for tourism management. The story of this historic agreement is seen through the eyes of the Park’s traditional owners - Bininj/Mungguy.

Green Warrior
Charlie Company is one of four companies from the 51st Battalion based in the Torres Strait. It is the most racially integrated unit in the Australian Defence force - the soldiers both black and white are proudly united by the green of their camouflage uniforms. We joined Charlie Company as they trained for their vital surveillance role in Far North Queensland. It's their job to detect threats before they can penetrate our vast and often remote coastline. Prepare yourself for battle alongside the Green Warriors.
